List Readers: Here is a list of a few of the things that have been added in the last couple of days. Thanks so much to Diana Cope who sent us a readable photo for the stone of John Maynard and Rhoda Louise Keithly for Osa Cemetery, and I have it posted http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/osa/osa.htm Also our thanks to Diana Cope who sent us about 240 photos for Old Carney Cemetery and I have been adding those. I have some of them on the web if you want to take a look at those. Diana, thanks so much for all you do. Beautiful work! I never knew there were so many Hudson families buried in Carney. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/old.carney/old.carney.htm Gerald Haddock shared with us some directions to Quaker with a few details that I added. Thanks, Gerald, for this added information. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/quaker/quaker.htm Doyle Eubanks sent directions for Potter Cemetery, which I have added also. He told me that this cemetery is part of the Eubanks farm and Doyle's wife inherited it. He said she recently acquired the "Century Farm" classification for it. For those of you who aren't familiar with that - I think it means that the farm was in one family for a hundred years and hasn t been sold during that time. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/Potter/potter.htm And thanks to Sherry Shaw who sent by way of Jay Trace an update and correction on Donica at Calton Cemetery. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/calton/calton.htm Beverly Mathews sent us a note for Edens and Calton at Crow Pond cemetery and I have that on the web. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/crowpond/crowpond.htm Jeannie Breese sent some documentation for the entry of H. Dan Sanders who is buried in Horner Cemetery and I have that added. This should help unscramble that puzzle so thanks, Jeannie. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/horner/horner-index.htm Our thanks to Jay Trace added some photos for the stones of Carr, Folkley and Rhoads to Lake Park Memorial and while there adding the entries I noticed I had Folkley incorrectly spelled and so that was also corrected. Oh and Jay is working on Monett IOOF and is about 100 away from being done there. There are over 5,000 graves in that cemetery so this will be a major project when done. No telling how long it will take me to post that many but - awhile. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/lakepark/lakepark1.htm Our thanks to Ralph and Betty Lamberson sent us some nice photos on the refurbishing project of the Wheaton Depot. I added that new page to the Focus on Wheaton" section. This is such a wonderful non-profit idea and so I hope that they raise enough funds to complete the job soon. Remember the funds from both the new Wheaton book and the newspaper disc go toward this non-profit project. Here is what Ralph said earlier today: "Betty and I through our Company Wheaton Publishing Company gave the Wheaton Historical Society and Wheaton Depot Museum a check for $7,500 as the earnings to date from "Wheaton Echoes . This is great news, Ralph and Betty, and thanks for sharing with us. Since this is such a great non-profit project, we'd like for you to keep us updated on the progress. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/wheaton/index.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/wheaton/depot.htm Gerald Lowe and Carl Gilmore by way of Darla Marbut sent us some very nice World War I photos for Emmert Parmley & Bruce "Jake" Lowe. The old vehicle that Emmert Parmley is sitting in looks like a museum piece. What a nice photo! And thanks to all of you who worked on this one. We don't get many World War I photos but they are very nice to have on the site. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/photos/photoalbum2/parmley.lowe.htm Work continues on the obits. Our thanks to Stefanie Forester who is our volunteer for that project. It is a huge task but she is making nice progress and that section is looking better every day. She is moving about 3 000 obits and putting them in new directories so we will have room to grow and also is setting a printable page for them, which will be nice, too. Donna Cooper
Does anyone know if Tom Marbut, the son of John Franklin Marbut & Sarah Elizabeth White, was married to a lady who had been married before to someone by the Name of Ford? Did they live in Mineral, KS. Circa 1904? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks! Wilma
