List Readers: Paul Rutherford sent us a most interesting photo today and I have it on the web for you. It is of Henry Clay Smithey. For those of you who don't know about the Smithey name. Henry was married to Amanda Gowen and she died and was buried in King Cemetery. When Amanda was a little girl she lived in the Harbin - Gowen house where the stage coach stopped, which was near Rock Springs. I know we have some researchers out there who know a lot more about this than I do so maybe they will share some of the story with us, too. Paul did write a little more about Henry and what happened to him after he left Barry Co., MO, and I have that information posted with his photo. It adds to our list of pioneer settlers and I am very pleased to have it on the web site. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/photos/photoalbum2/smithey.h.c.htm The posting work of Monett - IOOF continues. We have 737 photos posted on the Monett pages. 101 of those were sent to us by researchers. I posted 444 from photos that I took there and I've posted 293 from Jay Trace's BIG submission. For those of you who have not been following the Monett story, we have over 4000 photos on hands for Monett to post and the process has just begun. Our cemetery man, Jay Trace, so very generously shared these nice photos with us http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/monett/monett.htm My personal thanks tonight to Paul Rutherford and Jay Trace for their help with today's submissions.
