My Wilson ancestors arrived in Stone / Barry County area in 1853. The families consisted of four brothers and their young families: James Matthew Wilson, David Alexander Williams, Wilburn Hugh Wilson, John Wilson. Collateral families included Burk/Burke, Thompson, Hardin, Feaster, Hilton, Wise. My grandfather left Barry County for Texas in 1905. One line of my Williams ancestors arrived in Lawrence County before 1870. The family of Isham Hall Williams lived in Lawrence County for a number of years before relocating to Texas in 1889. Collateral families are Williams, Feaster and Hilton. My research has turned up a number of connections to both families that can be traced back to Tennessee and Virginia respectively.
