My gg-grandfather was Peter Jackson Stephens, father of James Albert Stephens, who was father of Pharis Jackson Stephens (your grandfather) and Maude Alice Stephens (my grandmother), if I'm not mistaken. I may have met you at one time or another, because I know my grandmother talked about Pharis--I do remember the unusual name.
