The school photo I recalled was on page 84 in the November1998 issue of Ancestors Unlimited. It states: Bethel School was located southeast of Monett in Northern Barry County. The first school house was a small frame building with few conveniences. In later years a new building was built one-fourth mile to the west of the old building. This building is still standing and as been converted into a home. The picture below was taking during the 1942-43 term. Miss Jerry Jenkins was the teacher. Since there are only nine students, I'll list their names: Kennedy boys- Kenneth, Gerald, Johnny and Dale Charles Ericson and Ted Davis The girls: Norma Negre, Virginia Inman and Dean Kennedy.
