    3. Thanks, Bill. There is a school photo of students that was taken about 1900 that may have been in one of the Ancestry issues. I don't know how old the school was but it dates back to the 1800's, I am pretty sure. I wish we had the history of it because I think it is probably one of the oldest schools that the county had. If we could find out who the owner of this photo is, maybe we could get a copy of the photo or find out if Fields' has a negative for it. I am especially interested in it, because my grandmother Gertrude Addington and her sisters Lottie and Myrtle are in this one. I also see some of your Kennedy names mentioned. I thought maybe some of you might know who owns this photo and have contact with that person. It states: Bethel School was located southeast of Monett in Northern Barry County. The first school house was a small frame building with few conveniences. In later years a new building was built one-fourth mile to the west of the old building. This building is still standing and as been converted into a home. The picture below was taking during the 1942-43 term. Miss Jerry Jenkins was the teacher. Since there are only nine students, I'll list their names: Kennedy boys- Kenneth, Gerald, Johnny and Dale Charles Ericson and Ted Davis The girls: Norma Negre, Virginia Inman and Dean Kennedy. As a reminder: Page(s) from past issues of Ancestors Unlimited are available for purchase from the society at one dollar per page, plus a LSASE.
