Good Afternoon: Today I have some new photos for you. Our thanks to Linda Stephens McCormick and Alice Allen for these very nice additions. So much history is added with photos like these that Alice and Linda have submitted. Some of these are old post cards. I've noticed in the antique shops that they have boxes and boxes of post cards just waiting for someone to find them. I've bought a few of them myself, but I don't seem to have the time to get out and look for them. Linda sent these below: In Focus on Cassville - Under People and Places http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/Cassville/index.htm 1936 Ash Cave on Flat Creek. This wonderful old photo has 2 old cars parked there at the cave. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/Cassville/1936.ash.cave.htm 1924 Cassville - East side of the square. I wonder what kind of a car that is that is parked in front of the store building on the right. Whatever it is - it must have been something to see it coming down the road. This is a real treasure. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/Cassville/1924.cassville.htm And there is one of an oxen team - but we aren't sure that this was taken in Cassville. There is a building with a sign for Metcalf General Store. I posted this one hoping some of you can help us with it. It has a post mark of Cassville, MO, 1908. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/Cassville/1908.oxen.htm In Focus on Eagle Rock - from Linda - http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/EagleRock/index.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/EagleRock/1940s.eaglerock.htm And then there is one for the Eagle Rock Store that was taken in the 1940's. This one is filed on that page under businesses. In Focus on Pioneer - from Alice http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/pioneer/index.htm There is a wonderful old photo of a tomato canning factory group photo. There wasn't a date on it but it looks like possibly in the 1930's or 1940's If you don't see faces in this one that you recognize I will be surprise. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/pioneer/canning.factory.htm Pioneer Home with 3 girls on the porch. Place is unknown and it looks like around the turn of the century but there is no date on it either. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/pioneer/pioneer.home.2.htm And then there is another one of an unknown home, too. If you know who lived in these homes, please let us know. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/pioneer/pioneer.home.3.htm There is one that is probably of the Effie Hutchens home. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/pioneer/pioneer.home.1.htm And then there is one of the Pioneer Band in Purdy, about 1919. I bet some of you will see faces that you recognize - if so please let us know. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/pioneer/1919.pioneer.band.htm In School Book 2 - and also from Alice were a couple of school photos. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/schoolbook/schoolbook2.htm There is a 1947 School photo, which includes Alice's husband, Forest Allen. His teacher's photo was also included. Orin McMillon taught in Pioneer that year. Take a look at the cute little girls with their hair braided. I wonder who they are. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/schoolbook/schools/1947.pioneer.htm Linda and Alice, thanks so much for these great old photos. You have really enriched our web site with these wonderful old photos. Donna Cooper
