    3. Clear Creek is a creek that runs through Pierce City. There may have been other, very old, churches or family cemetery's near it? I have members of the Higgs family who were supposed to be buried near Clear Creek in the early 1850's, old Mt. Pleasant, our first County seat, about 1 mile west of present day Pierce City. I have never been able to find them. I think it is now Lawrence or Newton county.
