To add to the possibilities, just over the line, near Powell in McDonald Co. is the Antioch Cemetery, where Schells, Pendergraft, Brumley, etc. families are buried. On some older Death Certificates, it is referred toas the Christian Burialground". -------Original Message------- From: Gerald Haddock Date: 07/26/07 04:15:36 To: mobarry@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MOBARRY] Mountain Community Cemetery --- jay trace <jibberish66@yahoo.com> wrote: > Hi there, > An obit from the July 25th Monett Times states that > the person was being laid to rest in the "Mountain > Community Cemetery," south west of Washburn. > The only two cemeteries specifically listed as being > located in the Mountain Township is Blankenship and > Doty. > Anybody know what this cemetery is called normally? > jay trace > > One possibilty a plot marked "Graves" near the east border of the Elsey USGS Topographic map. HI Wilma, Can you tell me where I can look online to see if Abednego Baze or Mary Baze is buried in one of those cemeteries in the Mountain Twp. Community. Abednego died in 1866 and have not a clue when Mary died. THey were my 4th Gr.Grandparents and came to Barry Co. abt. 1837. I am sure both are buried in one of the cemeteries there, but dont have any idea if either one ever had a headstone. Any info. will help. Thanks Debra Ok.
