I have been trying to locate the death certificate for Michael Kresyman in the online index at the SOS website. He died in 1939, according to his tombstone. Therefore, his record should be online. It's possible that he died in 1938, but he's not in that year's index, either. He lived in Barry County for most of his life. He is buried there. I have tried every permutation of the name that I can think of and still can't turn up the record. It has appeared in various older records as Creseman, Crazyman, Kresiman, Creyeman, Kressman, Kressmann, Kresymann, Kresimon, and Krezyman. I would very much like to see his death record. Because his farm was on the border of Lawrence and Barry counties, perhaps he died in Pierce City, in a hospital, or even in Springfield, which would mean he died in another adjacent county. Can anyone please advise me as to how I might be able to find his death record? I know from a book that was printed about Pulaskifield in the mid-1990s that his family owned land in Nebraska, so it's possible that he died in that state. If so, does anyone know how I can find more information about his death? Unfortunately, I don't know the exact date of death, which is what either state requires to buy a copy of the death certificate. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
