Donna, Thanks for the good wishes. I haven't been able to find the graves of several family members including Frank & Sarah Potts first 2 children and have searched all available records and have visisted several cemteries in these counties. William & Nancy Mootry & some of their children are buried in Pratt cemetery which is east of the military park in Benton County. A Cook relative told me that originally Wm. (died 1909) had been buried elsewhere & when Nancy died in 1924 he was moved "across the road" & interred beside her. They have rocks for headstones. In 1988 Willie Galyen told me he remembered helping to dig their graves.I have never been able to determine where he was originally buried but Pratt is several miles from where they lived. Maybe someday some of the mysteries will be solved. Nancy, Do you have the dates of deaths for the Potts? I live in Benton Co. and have access to some things that might help if I have some dates. Wilma, I have some listings for Dent-Moore located 5 miles from Hwy 72 East of Pea Ridge, 3 miles NW of the 12 Corner Church, almost on the Mo.-Ark. line. Is this Dent cemetery the same as listed on the Barry County site? I haven't checked the listing for a while but the 2005 directions say it is in McDonald County. I think it may be the same one the partial listings the Ark. archives sent me & the one on the website both show my Fletcher cousins (Ella (nee VanZandt)& Percy) are buried there. A long time ago I transcribed that cemetery. I don't remember when but in the early 1970's. NWAGS probably has an updated version of it by now. Wilma, I don't have them all sorted out but I think most of these Potts are part of William & Rebecca's family although there may have been an unrelated Potts family in Benton County for a while. The listing I have appears to be page 35 from a book entitled Benton County cemeteries. Some of the listings are the same as yours, some are different.
