I guess they could have been but the Cassville photo you shared with us looks like it was taken in 1910 so that is before 1918 - and it just has Hinchey on it. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/Cassville/index.htm Donna Cooper -------Original Message------- From: mobarry@rootsweb.com Date: Tuesday, February 05, 2008 5:53:17 PM To: mobarry@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MOBARRY] Hinchey & Hisey question Do you suppose Hisey and Hinchey could have been traveling or itinerant photographers who were in one town for awhile, then moved on to another? I don't know, but was just wondering, and perhaps that's why we can't find any information about them ... they weren't permanently settled in any one spot? Robert Hinchey, with his wife Rose and son Robert are found in Aurora City, Lawrence County in both 1910 and 1920. He is listed in both censuses as a photographer. The newspaper article says he was doing settings in Cassville, then moving on to Wheaton, so apparently they took their photography to the people. (In those days, even the doctors did house calls!) I was going to say that I went to the court house in Aurora yesterday and they have old town photos framed and displayed there. Several of them have the Hinchey name at the bottom. jay trace --- Cliff Metcalf <cliffmet43@msn.com> wrote: > Robert Hinchey, with his wife Rose and son Robert > are found in Aurora City, > Lawrence County in both 1910 and 1920.
