Cudos and thanks to everyone who had a part in the retrieval. Louisa Wilson is my 2G-grandmother. In a message dated 8/21/2010 9:34:18 P.M. A nice couple found the headstone lying next to the road and turned it in at the Stone County Sheriff's office and then called Lois Watkins, President of the Stone County Historical Society, to let her know they had found the stone. Mrs. Watkins, using the MOBARRY site, found my name and called me to report the incident. I immediately contacted Steve Williams of the Osa Cemetery Board so they could check for other acts of vandalism. Fortunately they found nothing else missing or damaged. The stone was retrieved from the Sheriff's office and reset at Osa. I would like to thank EVERYONE that had a hand in saving this old stone and seeing that it was returned to it's rightful place.
