List Readers, if you have a photo you want to see featured for the coming week you still have time to get it to me. I am sure that you remember that I post those on Saturday evening. I hope that you enjoyed the one Linda McCormick sent us last week. I sure did! I found the other parts to the Oak Ridge - Russell photos - that I asked about yesterday. I didn't have all of the photos in the folder that I sent to the web - and so that was the problem. I think I have it all together now but still haven't gone back and picked up all the ones that go with some of the ones that I posted yesterday. Here are some of the new items for today - For Oak Ridge Cemetery from Ted Roller's photo submission. And also Phyllis Long's notes for some of these - Mary E. (Marlow) Boyer, Benjamin F. Boyer, Vida (Reed) Foster - photo, J. R. Foster, photo, Lora L. Russell - photo, Calvin J. Russell, photo, Calvin J. Russell, photo, Gwondolen (Sturgell) Russell, note and photo, Susie Madison, William L. Madison, Millard Boyer, Pearl Boyer, Oscar Daniel Brooks, Eva Leona Maupin. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/oakridge/oakridge.htm On the School Reunion pages - Southwest High Class of 1960 a lot of photos came in that were posted earlier today. J. D. Day, posted for Lucille, her FHA booklet, her memories booklet and several miscellaneous photos. News came that Coach Blan Cunningham died in 2007 in a boating accident in Oklahoma. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Reunions/index.htm Jack Fly sent us a photo for a couple of graves that are in Carney Cemetery. This homemade stone reads A. & P. Collins died 1872 and 1876. I am hoping that some of you will be able to tell us who A. & P. Collins are. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/old.carney/old.carney.htm Thanks goes to helpers Phyllis Long, Jack Fly, Ted Roller and J. D. Day for their help with today's new items. Donna Cooper
I believe that A. & P. Collins are Absolom and Polly Collins. They were living in Stone County, Flat Creek Township, in the 1870 census, listed as age 78 and 63. They also have children buried in the same area of the cemetery.
