Good Morning: Our featured photo for th week was sent to us by Verna Allen. She said after she retired that she wanted to do her family research and so she is having fun with all the files that we have on the web site. She is related to the McKinney family of Barry County.  She, like most of us, has several Barry County families. She would like to hear from you if you are related to her McKinney family. The date of the photo is 9/9/1914.   The man sitting in the front is Nathaniel Lyon McKinney, Sr.; Lucinda Tranquilla Kissee McKinney (his wife) is sitting to his left & holding a bouquet of flowers (photo was taken the day before her birthday); To the right of Nathaniel Lyon McKinney, Sr., is a woman (Katherine Ruth McKinney Swegart) holding my Aunt Wilma Swegart; To her immediate right is Vera Miriam Howe McKinney (the wife of Nathaniel Lyon McKinney, Jr.); In the upper left of the photo & leaning is Nathaniel Lyon McKinney, Jr.; Peaking over the shoulder of Vera Miriam Howe McKinney is her mother, Sarah Clark Howe; Next to Sarah Clark Howe is her sister, Mabel Howe; The little boy standing in front is probably Lynn Goodnight.
