Good Evening: Since a lot of you have tomorrow planned with all sorts of activities to celebrate Independence Day - the 4th - I thought I'd send you the featured photo link tonight. It is a photo of the Friday family. Yes, yes, yes, they have a Joe Friday. Only those of you who remember the TV series of the 50's would know who Joe Friday is - maybe I should say was. For the rest of you he played on a show called "Dragnet". Frank Hatton submitted this photo of the Friday family. And here below is what Frank has to say about the photo. Persons in the picture: Barney Friday, unknown neighbor girl, Raymonde Friday, mother of the boy, Raymond M. Friday. Picture was taken in the early 1950's in Virginia. Bernard 'Barney' Friday, born 1874, died 1952, in Virginia - married to Rose Ancevitz, born 1879, died Dec. 13, 1950, Capps Creek Twp., Barry County, Missouri. One of their children was: Raymond Joseph 'Joe' Friday, born May 7, 1914, died 1979 in France. (have pictures of his grave site) He was married to Romonde J. 'Unknown'. Their son is Raymond M. Friday, living in Idaho, and the source of the picture. He is married to Regine E. 'Unknown'. They have 2 sons. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/oddsnends/bryfams.htm I hope you noticed the little soldier who is pictured on the right. This is really cute! Very neat photo! Thanks, Frank, we will enjoy this one for a long time. Donna Cooper
