List Readers, this has been a very busy week with a lot of maintaneous work and so I am trying to catch up now on the new things that we have that needs to be posted. And - will work on some of those tomorrow. We did receive a collection of nice Shiels family photos from John Shiels. Included in those were George and Margaret (Dunmore) Shiels and some photos of their sons, Among the boys was Andrew, grandfather to John. Ooops, I messed up. On John Shiels' photos - I wrote Margaret's maiden name wrong. Here is what John had to say about her. The pictures of George and Margaret were taken by Duncan Studios in Pierce City. There is no date on them but I would guess they taken in the warly 1880's. Margaret Dunsmure Shiels, born in Scotland was the wife of George Shiels. She was born May 30, 1835 and died in Tacoma, Washington Sept. 26, 1911. After George died she moved to Washington where several of her daughters had moved. Her son, Andrew (my grandfather) had settled here in Washington.
