    3. List Readers, It is busy here with canning and freezing things from my garden - plus company. Summertime blessings are filling my days, but there is always time for Barry County! ----------------------------- I have a question about this obit. What cemetery are they talking about here? Anyone know?  I wonder how this Morgan is related to the Morgan families that were already in Barry Co., MO; because Thompson Morgan was in Clay Co., MO, in 1850 and 1860. His birth place is given as VA, which might mean West Virginia. He moved right in among the other Morgan families so there must be a relationship there somewhere. But, of course, an assumption is not the way to solve this.  I believe Ura Jane in the obit was the same daughter listed on the 1870 census as Wrigane.   Ura Jane (Morgan) Roller On last Saturday, 23 inst, Mrs. Ura Jane Roller, of near Rogers, Ark., died after years of suffering from cancer. Her maiden name was Morgan and she was born in Clay County, MO, Jan 1, 1852, hence she was 55 years, 2 months, and 23 days old. She had many relatives and friends in this county, among them the Fawvers, Morgans et al. She was brought to a cemetery a few miles south of Seligman, where the writer officiated at her funeral at 2 p.m. on the Sabbath. The services were held under a large cedar tree and was listened to very attentively by the relatives and scores of friends. Owing to the fact that a daughter and her family who live at Coffeyville, Kan., had not arrived, Mr. Roller, the bereaved husband decided to stay in the cemetery with the corpse on Sunday night with the fond hope that the daughter might arrive on Monday morning's train. The writer presuming that the interment took place on Monday morning. The case was one that was calculated to excite pity even in the hard hearts. Mrs. Roller was a devoted Christian and had longed for death to relive her from the great suffering she had endured for many months before the final hour came. Exeter, MO, Mar 26, 1907, P. 3. Donna, Unfortunately, the obit for her that appeared in the Rogers Democrat April 10, 1907, does not state where she was buried, and I do not find her listed in Roller Cemetery at Gateway, althought that seemed the most likely. Here is the obit as it appears: (from R.F.D.No.5) Miss W. J. Morgan was born in Clay Co., Mo. December 30th, 1852; married to Henry Roller September 1876. To them were born nine children, four of which preceded the mother to the better world. Four of the remainig ones were present at the time of her death, one daughter arriving soon after she died at her home on Prairie creek, March 22, 1907. She was a christian from childhood, a member of the M. E. church, a loving wife and mother. Together with neighbors and friends we extend our sympathy to the bereaved ones. - Rogers Democrat, 4/10/07 Henry's obituary on the Barry Co site, has him buried at Roller Cemetery, Gateway. He had re-married to Ida B. Morris in 1921. Ida is buried there, as is Henry's parents, Joshua & Nancy Pendergraft Roller. As you know there were a lot of illegible, broken and unmarked graves at Roller. Based on all of the above, as well as the obit you listed, my bet is that she is buried at Roller also.
