List Readers, Linda Garrett found a lady named Terry Hickman who has some WW I information on Orlando Perry Hickman. Terry sent a photo of him and some WW I information to add to the history section for him. It seems like my grandparents called him Perry Hickman. I think he was about the same age as my grandfather and maybe they went to school together. I remember that he lived in Washburn, which matches the information we have for him. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/WWI/gh.htm Thanks Linda and Terry - very nice submission. Donna Cooper
This is from a death certificate, any ideas anyone? Says she was buried in the family cemetery. Eda Elvira Madewell Abt. 1837 AR June 12, 1917 Mineral Twp., Barry Co., MO She was widowed and father given as Tisens. Frank Kimball of Shell Knob, MO was the informant. Horine was the undertaker. Phyllis in MO
Phyllis, Phyllis Thomas did an abstract for her death certificate that we have on line but she didn't list a cemetery either. I wonder if she possibly was buried under a different name. We do see that happen sometimes. I received this email message looking for the Boles family. Does anyone have any information? Phyllis in MO I saw your post for Thomas A Boles & Laura Jane Laughlin. Thomas is in my line, he is a younger brother to my great granfather Charles Boles born in Il. Once a minister he was appointed to Ks and lived the rest of his life here. I'm wondering, do you have any information on their parents James Boles & Nancy Powell? They both died in McDonald Co. I have been to the library there several times but have not found anything. Have also been to the library at Neosho. I'm really curious as to where they might be buried. We have checked the Fox Cemetery, in fact we photographed it and I did a spread sheet and gave CD's to both libaries. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks Carol (Boles) Rollins Olathe, Ks
