List Readers, I have some new photos to post but today has been a fixer upper day! I have been working on old pages and adding some restored photos that had old font code pages. This one is a photo that Georgia Ball Farwell Hart sent us and that Gary Ball restored. My computer took a case of crankiness and gave me a blue screen and then shut down in the middle of a page I was redoing, and so I lost some of the notes that went with this page. It did an overwrite on the page, so it took out the original text. My apologies to all concerned and want to say if you have something that I can add just send it to me and I will be most happy to fix it. I love the sunbonnets in this one. It is an old photo winner! Every time I look at it I think of how special it was that these people had a photo taken of their picnic. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/photos/photoalbum2/cordellfam3.htm Wilson Lane and a hunting buddy also Wilson and his wife Eliza Long Lane. Ted Roller told me he owns the old Wilson Lane farm. I am so impressed that I now know where the Lane family lived. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/photos/photoalbum2/lanewilson1.htm I redid all the Lane pages except one and I think I have the restored photo for it - one Gary sent today. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/photos/index-l.htm Stan McKay sent us George and Elmira (Hadley) McComas' photos and Gary Ball restored them. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/photos/McComas.htm Thanks to Gary Ball for all his work on these and to those that submitted and shared with us. I am enjoying the drop in temperature and the nice rains we had. We are still plugging away on restoring our old the house. This morning we ordered special made school house windows to replace the old ones in our bedroom. We keep finding things as we beat around on these old 115 year old walls. While we were working on the bedroom a few days ago, we found a small wood sign that reads: DOUBLE COG WHEELS ROLLS VULCANIZED ON THE SHAFTS. I will try and post some more photos and do some more web page repair later today. Oh, I must say, too. Phyllis Long is working on Washburn Prairie Cemetery and restoring that one for us. You will remember that she is the one who found Elvis Presley's great grandfather mixed in our data. Today she noticed that we had a Solley listed in Cargile and Washburn Prairie. The death certificate has him in Cargile - but his stone is in Washburn Prairie so we fixed that one, too. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/washburnprairie/wp.htm Donna Cooper
