I received this email from Elizabeth Moore Davis looking for information on Israel Coleman Moore buried at Washburn Prairie. I am a descendent of Israel Coleman Moore, that is buried in the Washburn Prairie Cem. I was wondering where you got your information about Israel's brother and father. I have looked for YEARS for his folks. This is so interesting! This Israel had land in Carroll Co. TN. He married Nancy Burkhart in Gibson Co. His land was on the line between these 2 counties. It says in the 1870 census of Barry Co. that Israel's father was born in S.C. I had the DNA done by my brother William Wilder Moore and I found a man in Carroll Co. Tn. that is kin to me. His name is Terry McCaleb, his cousin David Moore did the DNA. There is 1 Israel Coleman Moore buried in Carroll Co Tn. and One other Israel Moore buried there. Nancy Burkhart Moore is buried in Jasper Co. Mo. in the Hackney Cemetery. They moved to MO around 1852, my grandfather James Wilder Moore was born in Tn. around 1850ish.
