CC: List Readers - Barry County Donna Cooper From: Barbara Haines <barbarajhaines@msn.com> To: donnac58@yahoo.com Sent: Monday, December 12, 2011 11:49 AM Subject: Barry County -- A "Lost" Fine Hey, Donna! I found your wonderful site while trying to research the family of my great-aunt, Mary Elizabeth Fine. She was the daughter of Franklin F. Fine and Laura Brown, and she married my mother's eldest brother, Howard Davis, who was born in Milwaukee. They moved out to California and lived in Cerritos (which is near the border of Los Angeles and Orange Counties) for many years. Mary E. died many years ago, and her husband is also now gone. I know that she had at least three other siblings, but I can't find Frank, Laura or any of their children on any census or available birth/death record. The last census I have for them is 1910--right before they were married (1911). I do have a copy of Mary E. Fine Davis's death certificate, but cannot locate any information on her or her other siblings other than references to the twins born in 1908 and a brother in 1914. Mary E. was born in 1920, and I've not found her listed on any family tree posted on Ancestry.com or any other genealogy site. It's my hope that you can connect me with someone related to the Fine family who can help me confirm her parentage and perhaps fill me in on how she met and married a fellow from Milwaukee in the first place! Please feel free to forward this post along to anyone you see fit. Thanks for your assistance, Barbara Haines Louisville, Kentucky
