    1. [MOBARRY] Blythe and Carney
    2. Donna Cooper
    3. Okay, here is part 2 of the story that I posted yesterday. The DNA man with the Blythe and Carney family says his father was adopted and that this is only part of his family. He knows nothing about them except that his father was J1c3d, which is very rare for Irish origins. However, he says that his autosomal DNA has Scots-Irish connections; so it is likely there is six or seven generations since his Jewish/Semitic connection. In other other words, he has no idea how he matches as a cousin to me and I don't either. It has to be through one of his unknown families, I would imagine since I don't think that I am related to the Blythe or Carney families of Barry County. His message reads that Bill Clinton is his second cousin twice removed. He doesn't say that it is so, but his connection of course, has to be the Barry County Blythe family through William Jefferson Blythe. He said he wasn't invited to the inaugural ball like most of the cousins were- and considers himself the black sheep of the family. I suppose that is because of his father's adoption - anyway I am guessing. -------------------- List Readers, I have a puzzle for you. I am totally lost on this one! One man who is showing up as a 3rd cousin to me on DNA has some Barry County family names listed. That might mean he has two or more families that he is related to me in several different ways. Hard to say! The other names he has - I have no idea about who they are or how they could be connected to any of my families. HOWEVER, that does not mean that they are not connected. I ran them through World Connect looking for clues but saw no familiar names listed by researchers. I did see a 175 year old man that had a child though and a woman who married at age 10. Sorry, I couldn't resist telling that! Shame on me! Not nice! Anyway, this family below was given in among his nine generations of families as ancestors that he posted in part in a DNA file, so I assume it is pretty accurate. I am asking for your help - since I know some of you descend from these families. _________________ He listed these surnames as his ancestral names. I didn't keep the email as I had nothing to offer but it occured to me later that I know someone with the family name of Pilkington. I mentioned this to him and he would be interested to know if there is a connection to him. Could someone remind me of the names and dates and locations so that I can let him know. 3. Good Afternoon, List Readers, I laid my paint brush down and starting hammering away at the web pages. We are getting ready to put in cabinets so we can get a REAL kitchen up and working and then we will do floor covering for the kitchen. We still have a lot of other rooms to finish but are trying to get a working kitchen. Anyway, down to web site talk - been rebuilding pages and working Barry County all day. 2. Donna it looks to me to read died Sep. 20, 1888 and died March 17, 1889. Note that the "S" in Sep is backwards. That may not be right but what it looks like from where I sit. 3. Good Morning, our thanks to Jack Fly who added three new photos on the P. P. Henderson Cemetery page. They were for P. P. Henderson - of his main stone and of his military stone. He also noticed that the date we had for Clarence Marbut wasn't correct. The stone is weather worn and so we are waiting to hear from Darla Marbut to see if she has dates for him that match what we have posted. I changed the year to read 1888 for both death and birth - but am not sure that is correct. If any of you know what this stone reads, please let us know. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/hendersonpp/hendersonpp.htm Donna Cooper
