Julie, Do you know anything about the family of Susannah Shaw? I'm trying to link my gg grandfather John A. Shaw (1828-1892) as a brother to William Shaw (1819-1885). Both John and William were in Reynolds Co. in 1850 and came to Barry in the 1860's. Jack Fly On 10/31/07, Julie S <julieskc70@yahoo.com> wrote: > > I do not have a Abel Black in my database.. Good Afternoon: I have some new photos for you today. Frances Albert sent us a nice photo of Ada (Brattin) Griffith and also a nice one of James M. Brattin. The pretty lady, Ada, was Frances' grandmother Thanks so much for sharing these with us, Frances. James' photo here at this link. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/photos/photoalbum2/brattin.j.m.htm Ada's picture is here at this link. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/photos/photoalbum2/griffith.ada.htm Linda Stephens McCormick sent us a couple of photos of the swinging bridge at Eagle Rock. I first thought the 1908 one was at Munsey, but cousin, Dane Martin, called about the time I was loading it and he said that it was the bridge at Eagle Rock and that he'd crossed that bridge many times. He also said the thought that it might have been there until the 1960's or so. Also Linda sent us another one of the a swinging bridge, taken in the 1940's Dane said he thought that it was also the bridge at Eagle Rock and not the one at Munsey. If any of you know more about these swinging bridges and can add to what I have please let me know. And in the goody bundle from Linda was a very nice photo of Eagle Rock, 1938 We have that same one on the site in the section on Eagle Rock's history but Linda's photo seemed a little brighter and it hadn't been cropped so I used it on the opening Eagle Rock page. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/EagleRock/index.htm For Cassville's page, Linda sent us a very nice photo of the old First National Bank building taken about 1950. This is just like I remember it - with 3 old men sitting there in front of the building. They must have been there every single day. Now after all these years, I wonder who they were. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/Cassville/index.htm All of these new photos are a great asset to the Barry County web site. And so I want to thank personally Frances and Linda for helping out with these new items. My thanks to both of you for all you do. I was wondering if any of you might know if there was ever a W. J.
