    2. BRAVO, Donna! What a marvelous page you've put together for Pioneer! When it was scattered on many different pages, who would have known there was that much information and that many pictures available on one of Barry Co.'s little ghost towns ... a place once a thriving and busy village and neighborhood. You've done a great job in pulling it all together! Thank you! Linda ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

    1. [MOBARRY] New Page
    2. Donna Cooper
    3. Good Morning: Our thanks to Linda Stephens McCormick sent us a very nice photo of the footbridge over Shoal Creek, in Pioneer. And so I set up a page for "Focus on Pioneer". We have one school photo for Pioneer and a little of the Mt. Olive Cemetery, which is up on the hill - but in Newton County. I don't know if it is even a mile across the line or not. I suppose all our pioneers of that area were thinking about was a high place where graves wouldn't flood. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/pioneer/index.htm Pioneer is such a neat little spot in the world and so I hope you will enjoy our focus page. If you have any photos or other things that we can add to it please let me know. My address is at the bottom of all the list mail messages. Again, thanks, Linda, for sharing this great old photo with us. It is a nice addition to the web site. Donna Cooper

    1. [MOBARRY] Horine Family
    2. Wilma Fields
    3. Hello ! Is there anyone on this list that has information on any of the Horine family that may have gone into NW AR. ? Specifically, I am looking for the name of the husband of Winnie Grigg Horine. They were living in Springdale, AR in Aug. 2002. This family connects to my brother-in-law's families that left Lawrence Co. MO to Madison Co. AR. (Pharris) Winnie Grigg's mother was Rebecca Lou Dotson, of which this surname is also one that connects to several of my husbands' families in Stone Co. MO. (Philibert,Horn, etc.) My husband also has Horine family that married into his Taylor family in Barry Co. MO, specifically, Mary M. Horine to Otis Leo Taylor. Mary was the daughter of Clarence Horine and Grace M. Burg. If anyone knows if these AR families have connections in either Barry, Stone or Lawrence Co. it will be much appreciated! I have sent this inquiry to all county lists. Wilma Fields Bella Vista, AR

    3. List Readers: Our featured photo is one I dug out of the files. I don't know how long it has been on the site, but Warren Walker submitted it. It is a photo of a walnut cracking machine. The photo was taken in the early 1930's and pictures Aaron Walker and Kenneth Brown. Kenneth was married to Avo Cargile. And Aaron was married to Nadine Cargile. Those of you who know something about machines will probably know how it works. I can't tell but think it was probably a gasline run motor. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/oddsnends/bryfams.htm My thanks to Warren Walker for sharing this wonderful old photo with us. 1. Re: [MOBARRY] Location of cemetery
    2. Frances Robison is not listed at Red Oak cemetery. This is a lookup request I had for Charles A Robison in June 2006: His death certificate states he was buried/removed/cremated at Red Oak Cem. and that the undertaker was Webb City Cem. Strange to me, so I’m not sure why that is as it reads. His dod was 10 June 1927, date of burial is 11 June 1927. This follow-up was dated August 2006. A while back you answered a query from me about a Charles A. ROBISON being buried in Red Oak Cemetery. I now have his obituary from the Joplin Globe, 10 June, 1927. It says that grave side services were held there for Charles A. ROBISON 11 June, 1927. What year was the book that you searched published? Is there an updated portion?
