    3. You can access the 1880 census records free at FamilySearch. This is the page you are quoting: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp If you fill out the search parameters (name, place of birth (United States - scroll down), then check the state -- Georgia - and date of birth 1811, that will isolate who you are looking for. If you don't fill in as much data as you know, you may be too many hits. Then click on his name (it is underlined) which will bring you to the page listing the information you have below. Click on "household" -- extreme right of page. That will give you the list of everyone in the household. You can also click on "next household" which will show surrounding families. You can also click on "previous individual" and "next individual" . Good luck. Ruth Jane Foley <mjfent@bellsouth.net> wrote: Does anyone have access to the Family History Library Film? 3. We don't have a Church name listed on the obit page. But there is a Rev. W. H. Crouch. Crouch was incorrectly posted as Church and I corrected it and sent a note to the list last week that it should have been listed under Crouch. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/data/obits/c/crouchwhrev.htm Donna -------Original Message------- From: mobarry@rootsweb.com Date: Sunday, February 17, 2008 10:21:19 AM To: mobarry@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MOBARRY] New for today Donna, I didn't find the obit for Rev. 1. [MOBARRY] Featured Photo
    2. Donna Cooper
    3. Good Morning: Our featured photo for this week is one that was shared with us by Linda Stephens McCormick. It is a post card photo of the east side of the Cassville square in or about1924. I love the car that is parked in front of the meat market. Is that what was called a roadster? http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/oddsnends/bryfams.htm Thanks so much, Linda, for sharing this wonderful piece of photo history with us. Donna Cooper

    3. Good Evening: Here is a link to a file that we have on the web site in our mystery section and was submitted some time back by Barbara Mullins. Take a look at the hat and metal this man is wearing. Do you think that this hat from the Civil War era or some other war? Any one have an idea? http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/photos/photoalbum2/mystery.man.htm Donna Cooper

    1. [MOBARRY] obits & cemeteries
    2. Donna Cooper
    3. Good Evening: We have some new obits for tonight. Those were from the old newspapers. James Ham, Albert Shaffer, Amos Lloyd's child, Thomas Banks, Nettie Fleetwood, John Terry, died in March, obit in May Elizabeth Prevo, Ross Casey, Mary Catherine (Blankenship) McNatt. Some of these we had from the Democrat and the ones I added were from the Republican, so there are two for a few of these names. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/data/obits.htm The following updates were made to cemetery files: New Salem - by Beverly Matthews and Phyllis Long - obits and death certificate data for cemetery data. Beaver, Glenin, Poe http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/newsalem/newsalem.htm Clio - Phyllis Long from obits Stumpff http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/clio/clio.htm Easley - Darla Marbut - from obits. Albert Shaffer, son of Peter, Mary (Lewis) Easley - wife of Charles http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/easley/easley.htm Painter - obits and death certificate additions - from obits and death certificates. Adams, Lloyd, James. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/painter/painter.htm King's Prairie - Beverly Matthews Powell from death certificate. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/newliberty/newliberty.htm Ennis - Phyllis Long - from obit Hall http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/ennis-ennes/ennis.htm I am pretty sure that being addicted to the the Barry County historical newspapers is a very good sign that a person has some kind of love for Barry County genealogy and history. I don't know if there is a treatment for this illness or not, but if there is, I think that I won't indulge because I really love reading them. Yes, yes, I have been back in the papers and digging around again for more obits and other goodies to add to our web site In the newspapers - we have through May 9, 1918 posted now. Oh, yes, and I noticed that John Terry's obit was in the May 9th paper and he died in March. There was a notice in March about his death but no obit then. We now have both the death notice and the obit posted. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/news/news.htm A big thanks to Darla Marbut, Phyllis Long and Beverly Matthews for all you do and for your help with today's new items. 3. List Readers: We have a wonderful photo made by Hinchey that Linda McCormick submitted today. It is of the Pharis Stephens children. Look at the little one with his hands so politely placed in front of him. I don't think that you could ever put a price on a photo like this one. Thanks so much, Linda, for this wonderful old photo that you so generously have shared with us. It is a treasure. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/photos/photo-3/stephens.children.htm Some notes were added to Clark Cemetery. Our thanks to Jay Trace and Beverly Matthews for those. I added some online obit notes and some death certificate notes, too, while there working. Names that have some additional data are - Allred, Bailey, Armstrong, Banks, Black, Burton, Cartwright, Gurley, Gundel or Gundell. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/clark/clark.htm Our thanks to Curtis Risley who caught a mistake in Corinth for us. I had his uncle Curtis Holman with a death date of 1976 - stone reads 1996. I am very glad to get this - because I want our pages to be correct. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/corinth/corinth.htm Also thanks to Curtis Risley who added a note to Samantha Jo Dalton's name of Hartin and by listing her parents. She is buried in Hilton Cemetery. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/hilton/hilton.htm Beverly Matthews and Ruth Kent added some new entries in the Rocky Comfort Cemetery. They were several of them and they were for the Danley, Dabbs and Davidson names. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/rockycomfort/rockycomfort.htm Beverly Matthews added some new information on the Lone Walnut page. I added some death certificate notes and worked the page over while there. I think it looks somewhat better but we still have some entires that we are somewhat vague about. Maybe in time we will know more about all of these people. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/lonewalnut/lw.htm Thanks so much to Beverly Matthews, Curtis Risley, Jay Trace, Ruth Kent and Linda McCormick for their help with all these new items. Have a good evening. Donna Cooper

    3. List Readers: Today I have a lot of things - some I've had for a few days but just haven't passed on the changes or the additions to you. Buckle up your seat belts - because tonight's the list is la long one. I love the new forms for the obits and death certificates - because I can copy and paste from them. That is my thing right now, because I can do it with my left hand. I can type as long as I limit my time at the keyboard. So the newspapers that I've been doing - are getting on the page one paragraft at a time. Hey, it works. Also I like they way the obits and death certificate abstracts look when they are both on the same page. Check out some of the ones that Frances did below and I think you will see what I mean. Obits and Death certificate abstracts - Benjamin F. McCary, from April 25, 1918 paper, Walter Wilks, from April 25, 1918 paper, Anna Rebecca (Tucker) Hayes - obit from Joy Guentert, Gertie (May) Tucker - obit from Joy Guentert, Mary Ellen (House) Griffith, death certificate abstract, Frances Albert, obit already posted, Ada Pearl (Brattin) Griffith, death certificate abstract, Frances Albert - obit we already had, George Jones, death certificate abstract - obit already posted, Rev.W. Mary Jane (Pruitt) Towler, mother's name was Omohundro and from researcher it appears her husband's name was also Ormohundro - from KY to Barry County. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/easley/easley.htm Vineayrd - Phillips information added - Beverly Painter Matthews http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/vineyard/vineyard.htm Painter - James family notes and death certificate information added. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/painter/painter.htm Antioch - Robison note and correction on spelling of name Eidson - Joy Guentert - THANKS SO MUCH for the help on the spelling, Joy. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/antioch/antioch1.htm Cremated - Hurst, Wark, Mickle, Carter, Colf, Morgan All from Jay Trace and Phyllis Long - added from obits. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/cremated/cremated.htm Purdy - Pennington note added from obit, Jay Trace, Brewer, Jay Trace added information from obit, Henson - Jay Trace added information from obit. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/purdy/purdy.htm Corinth - Painter - inforamation added by Beverly Matthews, McGrady, Phyllis Long added data from an obit, Robbins, Phylllis Long added information from an obit. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/corinth/corinth.htm Pilant - Harris - Beverly Matthews added information. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/pilant/pilant.htm Mineral Springs - Davidson - Beverly Matthews added information from death certificate, Munday - Phyllis Long added data from an obit http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/cemetery/mineralsprings/ms.htm April 25, 1918 added in the newspapers - http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobarry/news/7/index-7.htm A big warm thanks to Linda McCormick, Joy Guentert, Jay Trace, Phyllis Long, Darla Marbut, Beverly Matthews, Frances Albert and whoever I may have forgotten to mention for your help today. All these nice new things should definitely help researchers with their quest for knowledge. Donna Cooper
