I see a disadvanatge to being in Digest Mode on this list - When things get busy (busier?) you get left in the dust! :-) I think Phyllis relinquished 1915 to me even though she had it first I'm already about halfway through so will finish up in any case. RB in CA
Should have read the rest of my emails. 1917 taken, so I will do 1925 and 1926. Dear Rich, Phyllis Long has already started on 1925-1926, and Frances Albert did 1927. Here are the remaining years: 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1935, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, ((Nancy Moreland has already signed on to do the 1940's, in their entirety, I believe), 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953. I will take the 1940's Nancy Moreland
I'll do 1925 RB in CA
Do you mean the entire decade? Bold! Keep in mind Cheryl already did 1946. Thanks to you, and all other volunteers involved. We were going to try to get out there and remove some brush, etc. from the main Almshouse cemetery today, but rains put an end to that. I've had to work late, and there were SO MANY people jumping in to help with this. It was startling, really! Anyway, as you know, the MO Death Certificates are digitized online for the years 1910-1957. The following years have been taken on already-- 1910 1911 1912 1913 1914 1915 1916 1918 1919 1920 1921 1922 1923 1924 1927 1957. This leaves the following years available, if anyone is willing to skim through some death certificates-- 1917 1925 1926 1928 1929 1930 1931 1932 1933 1934 1935 1936 1937 1938 1939 1940 1941 1942 1943 1944 1945 1946 1947 1948 1949 1950 1951 1952 1953 1954 1955 1956. The response has been outstanding and we really, really appreciate the efforts of all of you. I would add, though, that 8 of the years done were duplicated by another researcher. I don't want anyone to think their work is unappreciated or a waste of time. If any of you would like to take on another year, I would send a message to this mailing list, and shout it out! On this end, I'll try to get on here more often and try to prevent overlapping research. I want you all to know that I'm very proud of our little group here at MOBARRY, and I'm tickled that so many of you came aboard in such a short amount of time. Have a great weekend! jay trace
I know it will take a little extra of your time but it would be helpful in the long run if everyone would list the information on the death certificate using the quick and easy form Donna has made. This way ALL the information will be online for others. Thanks guys for ALL the extra fingers that have jumped on board this project. With everyone working this project will be a snap. Linda Blairsville, GA P.S. After you have saved the scanned copy in .pdf you can send it to me via email and I'll convert it to a .jpeg so you can send the actual certificate later to Donna - notice I said "later" ----- Original Message ----- From: jay trace To: mobarry-l@rootsweb.com Sent: Saturday, March 29, 2008 12:15 AM Subject: [MOBARRY] Poor Farm lookups so far Hi there, Sorry it's taken me so long to get you all this information. Jay, I'll take 1917. I have no family from Barry Co, but you all have done such wonderful work I just have to join in. My family were from Montgomery and nearby counties and I used the website you posted and have found over 2 dozen death certificates. This is my way of paying back. I also remember Bro. Siler from my days at First Baptist Church in Cassville. He occassionaly asked my father, Rual Bowen, to help him with his car in his older years. (Even though he probably shouldn't have been driving). I am sure First Baptist has several photos of him in his older years. He was a precious man, and liked us kiddos. I have a photo of him as Pastor Emeritus but it is photo from paper. Maybe Fields have some of him that are better. Not all are up, but there are quite a lot from Barry Co. When you go to ancestry, click on the Birth, Marriage & Death Records (SSDI) in the More Collections list. Then, scroll down to the Search Individual Titles in This Category list to Missouri Marriage Rcords, 1805-2002. It and three other Missouri databases have "new" in red letters by them. I have found a lot of records in several SW Mo counties. the images are of each page in the marriage books, and they can be saved, and then cropped to the ones you want The downside, is that there is no notation as to what book they are from. -------Original Message------- From: Roulx@aol.com Date: 3/28/2008 11:34:59 AM To: mobarry@rootsweb.com Subject: [MOBARRY] Mo. records Wilma, are those records supposed to be the complete list? I have Ancestry, and it seems most vital records are scattered, and not complete. Haven't really pinned down the Mo. ones yet. Patricia **************Create a Home Theater Like the Pros.
