    3. Hello Everyone, I live in California and am disable and now family research is my main hobby. I know I will never get to Missouri to do my family research and Barry Co. holds a double bloodline for me my fathers and my mothers family. I want to thank everyone who dose so much work to make this the best site ever. Not only is this list so great for us that do research and have family in Barry county but to those people that work so hard and do all the hard work to document everything so all our loved ones is Barry county will always be remembered but also to all that take the time and do so very much to fix the cemeteries and keep all the keepsakes of Barry County Missouri for all those that are to come many years from now. keeping all the old records, gravestones, pictures ans so very much more. I want to say thank you all so very much and I am so very thankful to each and everyone of you. God Bless, Barbara eor@saber.net

    1. [MOBARRY] Osa Cemetery Update
    2. Hello. I just wanted to let everyone know that I have just completed a big update to the Osa Cemetery pages. I have been working on collecting all of the names and date information from the cemetery, and have finally got everything typed into the online pages. I would consider the pages now complete in regard to stones that are existing in the cemetery. There is still the possibility for more names from unmarked graves. There are almost 800 names/stones in the Osa pages and I have posted about 350 photos. I will continue to work on taking the remaining photos this spring. Also, I see folks are using the Obit tool to submit obit information. I haven't cleaned out the temp file in a few days because I've been working on the Osa pages... but please don't let that stop you from making submittions. I'll get to them!! have a great day, stefanie stephens-forester

    3. Well, I have had that happen a couple of times, but I just "x" that screen out and hit view image again and then it comes up. Any chance your computer has a version of Adobe Reader that needs to be updated? 3. Dear Frances and all other folks skimming through death certificates for Poor Farm burials--My list is filling up, and you all get the credit for that. According to my list, the only years not taken on are 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1935, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1950, 1951, 1952, and 1953. Thanks to Frances, Cheryl, Lovella, the Phyllis's Long & Thomas, the Nancys Wickam and Moreland (and maybe another Nancy I think), Tom Putnam, Rich Bently, and of course the energetic Linda Garrett for helping out with this. It's obvious you all come from hearty Barry county stock. Let's not forget Jack & Ted, who spearhead a lot of this kind of thing and truly go above & beyond for all of us. By the way, Frances, 1917 is already spoken for, but the years listed above have many treasures to find! jay trace --- "F.G. 1. [MOBARRY] Ledenham Cemetery
    2. jay trace
    3. Hi there, Frances had mentioned that she had found a 1927 death certificate for Susie Ledenham stating that she had been buried in the Ledenham Cemetery. Since we had no such place documented, I did some looking and found an entry for her in the Rowley Cemetery. Seems her mother's maiden name was Rowley. Anyway, there's another lost place turned to an "a.k.a." jay ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! 3. The one we've been cleaning up is behind the Barry County Care Center, formerly the Barry County Farm. If a person passes the Care Center on his/her left, and then turns left at the next street, that will take you to the site. Go up to the hill and there will be a tall white steel building/shed, and the little fenced-in piece of property just past it, also on the left side of the road is the place. This is the newer County Farm Cemetery. The older one is on the east side of town. You have to go out Highway 248 and turn south off of it sharply at the edge of town and follow that road a couple of miles. On the left side there is a large, grated/bulldozed "minihollow," and at the top of the bank is where the old cemetery was. Neither have markers of any kind. Jack and Ted could tell you more, as they have done the research and legwork on this one. jay --- Mspmsp@aol.com wrote: > Hi, just reading through this, where was the Poor > Farm?
