    3. List Readers, I am trying to overcome the flu and am not having an easy time of it. But I do have a few obits posted for today so that is an improvement over yesterday. Let's hope that tomorrow will be more productive! Barbara Erwin submitted: William Moroe Warren, James Barton Brisco, Phil Holt. Thanks, Barbara! All are very nice and we appreciate all you do for good old Barry County! http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/data/obits.htm Donna Cooper

    3. I am seeking information about the G.A.R. monument in Oakdale Cemetery. All the monument has engraved on it is "G.A.R." ...no date or which post placed it. As you know Oakdale Cemetery is located in north Monett, technically in Lawrence County. If you have information about this monument, please contact me. Thanks, Fran

    3. List Readers, Phyllis Long found another photo that came from Dorothy Madison Bass. It is a family group photo and of the Madison family these are pictured: Front: Bill, Adelbert, Etta Belle, and George - Back: Ida, Virginia, Ollie, and Thelma Adelbert and Etta Belle are buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery. This an interesting photo. Both the Etta Belle and Adelbert have their arms crossed in front of them. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/oddsnends/bryfams.htm Thanks, Phyllis, for finding this nice old photo for us. 3. I didn't find any birth or death dates but can add her parents. 1910 Census Missouri > Barry > Jenkins > District 9 Thomas A. Stockton, age 35, married 11 years, born MO Della, wife, age 29, mother of 7 children, 5 living, born MO Reba, daughter, age 10, born MO Oliver E., son, age 7, born MO Alma, daughter, age 6, born MO Opal, daughter, age 2, born MO Bertha, daughter, age 1 born MO WWI draft reg. gives his name as Thomas Ada Stockton. Barry County, Missouri Marriage Book 'I' 1897-1902 Stockton, Thomas A (24) Stubblefield, Della (19) May 3, 1899 J S Plummer, JP Dorris Goff added that Opal Stockton died in Barry County and was buried in Corinth according to her obit of Feb. 1920. She was not listed on the pages and so she evidently has no stone. We still need her birth and death dates so if anyone can help out with that it will be greatly appreciated.

    3. List Readers and William, William is having trouble locating correct data on his Channel relatives. I think from his message that he needs some help maybe. If any of you are Channel researchers maybe you would like to correspond with him. Donna Cooper ----------------   William, information to be added to our cemeteries should be placed in the cemetery temporary folder. I am sorry, but because the volume of mail that I now get I can no longer keep up with the submissions that come in by e-mail. The submit form is listed on our main cemetery page for your easy access. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/rschcemtery.htm And, I might add that our submit folders are designed for everyone. Well, let's say anyone who can type. We appreciate getting updates but would like to have a resource to go with the information that is posted. The photos for this cemetery have not been done yet but we hope maybe this spring someone will jump in and take the plunge.    Donna Cooper --- On Fri, 2/26/10, William Channel <[email protected]> wrote: From: William Channel <[email protected]> Subject: Mano Cemetery To: [email protected] Date: Friday, February 26, 2010, 4:58 PM For the Barry County, Mano Cemetery, who would I contact to add information about Channel relatives and their Mercer 1/2 brother.  Some information is incomplete and some is just wrong. 3. The only Jacob Marbut I have in my files is Jacob Monroe Marbut born May 24, 1867 and died June 18, 1953. He first married Florence Frances Smith daughter of William S. Smith and Elizabeth Bandy. Florence died April 30, 1921. Robert Moudy died April 30, 1919. So Jacob and Missouri Alice would have married sometime after 1921. Maybe that will narrow down the marriage date for Jacob Monroe and Missouri Alice. 3. List Readers: George W. Jackson was added to the Antioch pages by Barbara Erwin from data she collected in an obit. He evidently doesn't have a stone since we don't have one posted for him. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/antioch/antioch-1.htm William Ernest Norwood at Mt. Pleasant was listed as a WW II solider but was a WW I solider according to his stone. So that page was corrected with the information that Diana Cope passed on to me for Teresa Davis. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/mtpleasant/mp9.htm Phyllis Long sent us the marriage record for Ida Sherwood and Levi Billding Madison. She posted it for Dorothy Madison Bass. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/photos/photo-3/madisonIda.htm Donna Cooper Thanks to all who helped with these new and updated items. Donna Cooper

    3. List Readers, John Franklin Drinkwater is buried in Maplewood without a stone and Barbara Erwin found the data in an old newspaper in the form of an obit and so she posted that information in both the obit and in the cemetery sections. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/maplewood/d-1.htm Darla Marbut found that it was Charles Albert "Bud" Munsey who donated the land for Munsey Cemetery and not J. M. as she had first supposed and so that information was added to the Munsey Cemetery files. She mentioned in her e-mail that he had moved to Oklahoma and has some information about him if anyone is researching the Munsey family and needing to follow his paper trail. Darla said that Charles Albert "Bud" Munsey gave the land for the Munsey School and Cemetery Dec 8, 1883, Section 6, T 21 R 26. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/munsey/munsey.htm Phyllis Long noted that in Mars Hill that Troy Kenis Smyth was also added as Smith and that there was a conflict of data between the stone and the death certificate. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/marshill/marshill-9.htm Dorris Goff added that Opal Stockton died in Barry County and was buried in Corinth according to her obit of Feb. 1920. She was not listed on the pages and so she evidently has no stone. We still need her birth and death dates so if anyone can help out with that it will be greatly appreciated. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/corinth/corinth-p-s.htm Thanks to these ladies our files have been updated and are now more accurate. 3. Phyllis, since most of the ones in St. Peter and St. Paul are Polish and German I'm betting on a Lawrence County Cemetery - maybe Mount Cavalry. Do we have some one who has a hand transcription of that cemetery who could look up David Exposito for Phyllis?
