    3. I believe adding the extra information to the person buried there would help researchers a great deal. At least it would give them clues to search further. This would be especially helpful to descendants who live out of state. Some day with future technical help, it might be possible to include links to photos of the person. Barry Co site has a wonderful collection of photos. 3. List Readers, since the Wheaton class of 1950 and the Southwest High class of 1960 is submitting a lot of photos for their reunion books, so I decided to choose one of the recently submitted ones for our featured photo. The one I picked is a 1959 "lunch on the grounds" photo of some Sophomore girls who are students at Southwest High. I see a few that I know the names for and so I listed them. I am sad to say that the others I have no idea about who they are, so if you can help name these students please let us know. We have seen the obituaries for a few of these - or for their spouses anyway. Wanda Deans, Sandra Poe and Bonnie Carden's spouses are deceased, I know - and maybe others. According to the 1960 yearbook, these students were from the graduating class of 1962. So - I will move it out of the 1960 reunion section and put it in our school book section later on today. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/oddsnends/bryfams.htm Have a good Sunday! 1. [MOBARRY] Barry County
    2. Donna Cooper
    3. List Readers, every now and then I get mail from people who are confused about where Barry County is and how it was divided up in the old days. I am sure that those folks are not familiar with the area because they may not have studied the early day maps. It is sort of funny, in a way, because I have had people try to tell me that in 1900 or 1880 that Barry County was in some other county. I know that most of you know better - but I thought that I would send you the map link for the pages that we have on the site so that you can see all the changes that Barry County went through. In 1840 Barry County took in part of St. Clair County and all of present day Dade Counties, but in 1841 Dade and St. Clair Counties have been established. Some of the Rev. War soldiers we have may have been in Dade or St. Clair Counties - that I do not know about. But I would like to know more about that subject. We have two maps for the year of 1840 and both are rather confusing - or at least I think so. The map we have prior to 1840 is the 1834 one and it shows Barry as part of Greene County at that time. In 1821 Barry County was part of Wayne County and maybe even part of the territory just below it. And in 1816 all of the area that is now Barry County was in what they called Lawrence County for a short time. Missouri became the 24th state on August 10, 1821. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/Maps/index.htm Donna Cooper

    3. Let's do some studying and see if we can figure out what cemetery that they are talking about? Probably is a cemetery near Seligman, I would think, but it may be in AR. Seems like that there was, at one time, a small cemetery near Clantonville that they called Reed. I remember seeing it when I was a child - was on the road that goes to Eureka Springs. It was on the south side of the highway, on the road where you turn to go to lake - it was just across from the road that goes north to what they called Clantonville. Do we have anyone out there who can help us with that information?
