    3. Good Morning, list mailers, this morning the line up for the Cormus Grove School photo that Wesley Stephens sent was in my box. He said that he had some of them wrong including himself. And so his Aunt Alta Fern named them for us. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Cormus/cormusGrove1.htm Donna Cooper

    2. This is one of the neatest photos of Cassville I've seen! I just love it, and wish I could have been there at that time. What a great view of south Main Street! *thumb's up!* Linda

It seems like I remember there was a filling station there across from the Cheverolet place. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/oddsnends/bryfams.htm I wonder if we can somewhat date this one from the buildings and cars. This is a great photo, Patty! Thanks for sharing. And for the new items we have - Cheryl sent a reunion photo for the Class of 1933 - Exeter. Along with it was a clipping from the Advertiser. 3. Good Afternoon, List Readers, it is a very busy spot here at this post. I have been riding shotgun for the reunion committee of Southwest High and have been working on the 50 year reunion book for them for the last few days. It is coming along nicely and starting to take form now. But we still have some photo needs. We are need of some Seligman school photos - 1948 - 1956 or so. Do we have any Seligman folks out there who can help out and maybe dig up a few for us? We have a couple that I posted last night that were submitted that were copy machine photos -  and as most of you know that process doesn't work well for web posting.  We really need some actual photos for these years - first grade 1948-1949 and second grades 1949-1950.  And also 1950-51, 1951-52, 1952-53 and 1953-54 would also be very useful, too. All I can say is HELP. Thanks goes to Gary Ball for his kind and generous help on the project and for all the many hours he has spent in refurbishing old photos and his help with the page building process, too.  http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Reunions/1960-Southwest/1960Reunion.htm  Some web work that was done this morning - I added a couple of cemetery photos for Connie Day Clayton to Maplewood Cemetery that J. D. Day sent. She was his sister. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/maplewood/maplewood.htm And all of these nice additions for her that were posted here - http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Reunions/1960-Southwest/dayConnie.htm Cheryl sent a photo and a newspaper clipping of the 1933 school reunion for Exeter.  http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/e-index.htm Wesley Stephens sent a 1953-1954 Cormus Grove School photo that I posted yesterday. It went in the 1960 reunion book, today, and also on the Cormus Grove pages. If you can help us name these students it will be greatly appreciated by our Barry County researchers.  http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/c-index.htm And added here - http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Reunions/1960-Southwest/1960Reunion.htm Added to Southwest High were several photos - some of Donnie Rose who is deceased. I thought you might enjoy seeing some of those that Wesley Stephens submitted. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/s-index.htm Thanks goes to helpers J. D. Day, Gary Ball, Wesley Stephens, Cheryl and to the class of 1960 for all the photos that are being added to the web pages. CC: Dale Pilant Donna Cooper

My Pauline Genevieve Keeling was born June 1, 1921 and married Paul Leslie Dodson on July 24, 1941 in Aurora, Lawrence Co., MO. But she lived all her life in Barry Co. She was born at Purdy and is buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield. She died in 2006. 3. List Readers, I have been working on school photos all day and so tomorrow I will have several more to tell you about. But today - I have a new Cormus Grove photo. I don't know the year but am guessing about 1951. I may have a better guess as soon as I hear from a couple of people. This photo belongs to Ina Stephens and her son Wesley sent it to us. It will go in the 1960 Reunion book when I can get some of the details worked out. It is in the Cormus Grove Book and can be seen here. If you know the names of any of these students, please let us know.   http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Cormus/cormusGrove1.htm Thanks goes to Geraldine Pendergraft who sent the names for Trent Creek - 1943 photo.  http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Trent/1943Trent.htm For Oak Ridge Cemetery - from Ted Roller's photo work - Lena M. Smith nee Towe, Joel O. Smith, J. Kathryn Brooks Bullard, temp. marker, and also notes from Phyllis Long, Oscar Daniel Brooks, Vicey Mable Brooks, William T. He worked on our Seligman first grade one, but he didn't have much to work with on it. It is in the Class of 1960 photos at this link - http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Reunions/index.htm And on this page - http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Reunions/1960-Southwest/1960Reunion.htm  Do we have someone out there who can get their hands on a 1948-1949 yearbook for Seligman and scan it? I know someone who has one if there is someone out there who contact the person with it. Thanks goes to Wesley Stephens and his mother, Ina for the photos that they sent, to Phyllis Long for her notes on Oak Ridge, to Ted Roller for the Oak Ridge photos, to Gerldine Pendergraft for the names that go with Trent Creek Schhol and to Gary Ball for us kind and generous help on the school photos. 3. List Readers, some days are school book days and some days are cemetery or obit days. Today was a school book day. It started out this morning with about 25 to 30 photos in my mail box for the 1960 class reunion - that I still don't have posted. But I did get a slide show on the web for them. And then I had some photos and notes came in from Cheryl for  the Exeter Runion pages. Some of hers had names to be added, too. All very nice!  And she had 1928-1939 photo and a newspaper clipping to go with it. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Exeter/1928-39Exeter.htm And for the 1920's and 1930's Exeter Reunion she had some names to add - http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Exeter/exeterreunion.htm  And then I had a message from Geraldine Pendergraft sent us two early day Trent's Creek photos. One is a 1943 photo and the other was taken about 1942 - 1943. She has the names for one of them, and I think maybe she will the other one, too, so I have written to her to see. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Trent/abt1942-1943Trent.htm and this one - http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Trent/1943Trent.htm Thanks goes to Geradine Pendergraft, to Cheryl, and to the class of 1960 for the new photos that came in and that were posted today. It is very fitting and appropriate since some people are trying to get a cemetery assoiciation going for the True Love Cemetery. 1. [MOBARRY] Shan M. Richards/Richardson; Ann Sanders; William J. Dalton
    2. Mary Childress
    3. Shan M. Richards/Richardson was born Mar 1862 in MO, died 20 May 1925 in Dickens County, TX. He married Ann Sanders on 3 Mar 1898 in Barry County, MO. Shan and Annie had at least one child, Albert Green Richards, born 2 Jun 1908 in Washburn, Barry County, MO & died 15 Mar 1984 in Hutchinson County, TX. Ann Sanders was born Nov 1882 in MO and died between 1908 and 1925. In 1880, Shan was living with his mother and siblings in Macon County, MO; no father was present. A George Sanders family was living next door. The family went by Richardson on that census. The mother's name was given as S. A. Richardson, age 39. The children were Shan, age 18; Mary T., age 16; Milton, age 14; and Smith, age 10. In 1900, Shan was living in Barry County, MO with his wife Annie and grandfather William J. Dalton, age 81, born in IN. My understanding is that Shan and Annie's son, Albert, grew up in the home of an aunt. I do not know if Shan and Annie had other children. Shan was about 20 years older than Annie, so I don't know if he had been married previously. I have not been able to find a 1910 or 1920 census schedule for this family, or an 1870 schedule for any of them. Any help you can give in identifying this family, especially Shan's father and Annie's parents, would be very much appreciated. _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail has tools for the New Busy. 3. List Readers, Gary Ball has been working on some of the Star School photos and it is unbelievable what he has done with these photos. The one with the newspaper print story from the Mountaineer doesn't even look like the same page. I think he must have had this one hidden under his bed and pulled it out just to fool me. He also worked on some of the Arnhart School photos too. They are all very nice as well. You will enjoy looking through these, I think. Here is the "S" section link for the school book so you can stroll through Star at your own pleasure.  http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/s-index.htm And here is the "A" page that has Arnhart on it. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/a-index.htm I have some more that Gary sent - but haven't gotten them on the web yet. And - for those of you who remember Dr. Roy Shaver I posted a photo of he and his family on the Southwest School Reunion Book - 1960. I have a letter from him that I will post, too, when I get time to type it. Maybe I will see if I can twist Linda Garrett's arm for typing help. Also - on that same 1960 reunion page there have been some new photos and bios come in since I last sent you an update so you might want to look at those if you are interested in the class of 60. Those photos and stories are being submitted by the classmates of that year. I think they are all very interesting, but be sure and read the one for Lucille Robbins Day. J. D. Day submitted the information and photos. Lucille has accomplished so much in her life time. It is really amazing to think that this little Washburn girl did all these things in 50 years! I am very proud to say that she was my high school classmate. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Reunions/index.htm  Thanks so much, Gary! Very nice work!! CC: J. D. 3. List Readers, here is a restored copy of Arnhart School photo that Gary Ball worked on for us. I left the old copy there on the page so that you can compare the two and see the difference.  It is estimated that the school year is 1926 or 1927 based on the age of Jack Morlan. I wish we could find out who the others in the photo are. Do we have anyone who either lives out that way or who might know someone who lives out that way? If we could check around maybe we could fill in some of the blanks for this one. 1926 -1927 - I am thinking that there might be someone still alive who would know all of the students that are in this one. Any ideas? http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Arnhart/arnhartschool3.htm Thanks, Gary, nice work! Donna Cooper

    3. Wonder what ever happened to all their negatives. Or are they still in business? 3. List Readers, I have a lot to tell you about this morning. Phyllis Long has been talking to Geraldine Wade Pendergraft and has come up with the names of the 1949 Carnival photo that we had posted last week as our featured photo. That same photo is in the Washburn section of the school book and in the 1960 class reunion book. These ladies just made my day!  http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Reunions/1960-Southwest/1949Washburn1.htm Linda Garrett has been busy as a bee at the keyboard typing names for the 1960 class photos. This is greatly appreciated because now those photos are searchable for all search engines. Among the ones she typed are the FHA and Memories booklets that Lucille Day submitted and also the first and second grade photos of the 1960 class. Several new photos and bios were added yesterday to these pages, too. The online booklet can be seen here at this link below: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Reunions/1960-Southwest/1960Reunion.htm Linda Garrett also typed the index for the 1950 Yearbook for Wheaton. Charles Beam submitted and checked over the names to make sure we had them spelled correctly. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Reunions/index.htm And as for Oak Ridge we have a ton of new entires for photos and notes - so I will list what I have on my cheat sheet for you. Photos are from Ted Roller's photo work and the notes are from Phyllis Long's research notes. Let us know how you like adding the notes to a link like I've done on some. Dustin Lee Craig, Ettie B. Madison, A. Delbert Madison, Elva F. Madison, George E. Madison, Rhonda Sue Madison, Dylan Grant Madison, Gertrude Sturgell, Lee R. Sturugell, Myrtle L. (Richardson) Bolton, Albert C. Genrty, Goldie Mae Lester, RAymond Orval Lester, James M. Lester, Dennis Fay Swadley, Billy Ray Swadley, Carla Jean (Brooks) Koehn, Virgie Mae (Reed) Conatzer, obit of someone name Charles Elwood Cornett who was married to Virgie. Is this her daughter or is this the same Virgie as we have on our pages. Looks like it could be her daughter from his birth date. Anyone know about this? Lou (Reed) Logsdon, Hellen Carolene (Reed) Vanderpool, Ruby Ellen Reed, Jasper Earl Reed, Clara Mills, notes, Thomas Clark Mills, researcher posted died in Springfield - Culver's has he died in Joplin - so corrected, Erick Andrew Bolton, Florence Hayes, Otis Hayes, Billy Wayne Bolton, Culver's record added, James Caterman, notes, Orvil H. Carterman, Judi Kay Caterman, Loral M. (Stockton) Caterman, Andrew Caterman, Irene Loral Caterman, Millard Dean Boyer, WW II, Louise Boyer, D. C. Mills, Ollie Belle (Ward) Mills, Clara M. Mills, Levi M. Mills. I am not sure that I have all the files that I added for Phyllis in the notes sections or not. It might be a good idea to check the pages out and look over what was posted. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/oakridge/oakridge.htm A big Barry County thanks goes to our helpers Ted Roller, Linda Garrett, Charles Beam, Phyliss Long, Geraldine Pendergraft and Lucille Day for their help with today's new items. Great stuff! Donna Cooper

    3. List Readers, I am very pleased to tell you that we have an index now for the 1950 Wheaton yearbook that Charles Beam submitted. Linda Garrett has been busy at the keyboard helping our good old Barry County to be even better. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/School-Book/Reunions/1950-Wheaton/1950wheaton.htm Thanks, Linda, it is so nice to have our yearbooks searchable so that researchers can find the names that they are looking for. VERY NICE WORK! Donna Cooper
