    3. List Readers, in college when you take real estate one of the first things that you learn is that location, location, location is the most important thing to know. Well, as you probably guessed, on the web, in Barry County - it is busy, busy, busy. And during that busy time we had a strom and I could not get on the web. So my busy notes are not too busy today.  Linda Stephens sent us another very nice old photo. This one has John Haddock, Albert Stephens and Carmon Cameron in it. They were school chums and young boys. John H. Haddock Born 5-14-1906 - Died 3-23-1980 Buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville, MO Albert F. Stephens Born 6-24-1907 - Died 10-18-1983 Buried at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, MO Carmon L. Cameron Born 10-30-1908 - Died 3-7-1996 Buried at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin, MO Location and date of photo unknown, but it appears to have been circa 1927-29 or so. They attended Exeter School together. Thanks so much, Linda, great photo! http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/photos/photo-3/stephensCameronHaddock.htm I have two pages of notes for Oak Ridge Cemetery - so I will let you look through those for yourself. In among those were several folks that had notes that Phyllis Long submitted, too. And the photos posted were from the photo work of Ted Roller. Thanks goes to both Phyllis and Ted for excellent work. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/oakridge/oakridge.htm Ted sent us some clean up photos for Clark, too, that I think you will enjoy seeing. I sent this information the other day, but in case you didn't see it, I thought I would post it again. He also sent the address for the cemetery fund. If you can, please try and help these fellows who are working so hard to clean up our old cemeteries. It cost a lot of money to put up new fences and to reset old stones that are on the ground.  There was a time that Clark Cemetery looked like a snaggled tooth old women with stones missing and broken ones on the ground. It was in sad shape and so I am impressed at the way it looks now. I wish we could turn these folks lose in Chitwood and see what they could do there. There are so many broken stones and big stones on the ground that it is hard to even imagine how many will be completely gone in another few years. Ted, please tell these folks thanks for us. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/clark/clark.htm Donna Cooper

    3. I am so happy something is being done to the Clark Cemetery even though I have no direct descendants in the cemetery. Thanks to all of you who work on it or contribute toward up keep. I got the information on where the funds should be sent from the Barry County Advertiser, Wed May 5, 2010 and article written by Sue Horn. Probably a correction should be sent in at she wrote that donations could be made at any First State Bank location to the Clark Cemetery account. 3. Ted also said - A list of names is needed by Bobbie to place the names of people interested in keeping the cemtery in good shape for the future.     There are many family names on the different stones and several need repaired; and the responsibility usually is for a family member to start a fund for repairs of the loved one’s stone will be lost to future generations. Some names that stones are needing attention are: Allred, Richardson, Neill, Black, Bratton, Box, Stillwaggon, Lane, Linebarger, Jones, Cooper, Swindle, Banks, Bradley, Lester, Gurley, Hilburn, and others.     Names of family members buried there that possibly contribute to the upkeep and fence are some of the following: Thorn, Williams, Houck, Rhea, Laurderdale, Eden. Lowder, Watson, Garrison, Burton, Butler, Carius, Carter, Clark, Connelly, Corn, Fly, Graber, Gurley, Howerton, Lansdown, Link, McReynolds, Meek, MetCalf, Murphy, Myers, Reasor, Reed, Sanders, Shoopman, Smith, Turner, Taylor, Wilkerson, Woodward and others that include Unknown souls listed by Donna Cooper on the MoBarry US Genweb site. 3. List Readers, since tomorrow is Mother's Day, I am going to tell you about the featured photo tonight. It is a photo that Ramona Fletcher found in an old yearbook that she was scanning for the Class of 1960's reunion pages. She has no idea who is pictured, but like me, is hoping some of you will know. It looks like it might be graduates - maybe in the late 1930's or mid 1940's to me. This is really a very nice old photo and so I hope we can figure out who all these people are. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/oddsnends/bryfams.htm Thanks so much, Ramona, for sharing with us! Have a happy Mother's Day and enjoy the featured photo. Donna Cooper
