    3. Does anyone on this list know anything about: Sarah Keen wife of James S. Keen of Audrain, CO -- I believe Sarah is the daughter of Robert Johnston who married Mary Ann Prewitt? I could be off a Johnston or so., By the way, Randolph Co., lister James Bagby has got a great website which has some JOHNSTONE information. This was a great help. I still have not seen a listing of all the children of the Capt. William H. Johnston and Rachel Spears. I'm judging by the will records that they have about 6 children, although I read somewhere, maybe mistakenly that they had 12? http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/b/a/g/James-Bagby/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-Index.html#Johnstone These families all have BOURBON CO., KY ties...and came to Callaway and Boone Counties -- and spread out. Sarah Keen wife of James S. Keen is listed in the administration of the estate of Capt. William H. Johnston of Boone CO., MO. Capt. Johnston was the father William H. Johnston who married Margaret Hutchinson -- Margaret's second marriage was to Nathaniel Leonard co-founder of the Ravenswood Stock Farm in Bunceton, MO. There appears to also be a connection to the CAVE and WILLIAMS families. Thomas J. Cave's will notes the administration as Henry Keene; final settlement Mar. 3, 1853. Heirs: Caroline Cave a sister, Cornelia, Sally Ann [aka Sarah?] and Leslie Johnson child of Mary Johnson dec., [I think this Mary Johnson is Mary Ann Prewitt -- wife of Robert Johnston notice the "s" is sometimes in and sometimes out? Does anyone know about this MARY?] Robert Johnson was the son of the Capt. William H. Johnson and Rachel Spears of Bourbon Co., KY. In another will from Boone Co., of Frances "Fannie" Williams, which is administered by Henry Keen; final settlement Feb. 14, 1848 notes daughter: Calma Cave, Mary Johnston and children; daughter Sophronia Williams and her children, d. Melvina Jordon, d., Sarah Keen, s. John B. Williams, s. Young J. Williams, granddaughter Mary Frances Cave, grandson Alonzo Cave. Sarah's mother notes several slaves in her estate being divided out to her children etc. Rachel Spears' mother Elizabeth Spears estate was probated in Boone Co., also notes the children of Capt. William H. Johnston and Rachel Spears -- several slaves are mentioned in her will.... she notes her grandchildren: Elvira Thomas, William Johnston, Jacob S. Johnston, Noah S. Johnston and John T. M. Johnston. My ancestors were slaves of William H. Johnston who married Margaret Hutchinson... Mr. Johnston died in Boone Co., MO and some slaves were rented and sold out of the estate. Some of the slaves were sold to his wife's brother James S. Hutchinson who sold slaves to Margaret's second husband Nathaniel Leonard. I am looking to trace the siblings of William H. Johnston and any slaves they may have received from their grandparents and parents. Secondly, William's grandfather Jacob Spears may have also given slaves to his children and grandchildren via his estate in Bourbon Co., KY. For anyone who is interested, I am happy to do looks up in my Boone Co. Wills and Administrations 1821-1870 and Boone Co. Wills and Administrations 1835-1850. As usual, I'm going to make my plea for slave related data... and if you can help me make the connections with these families above. Thanks, Traci Wilson-Kleekamp African Americans in Missouri http://www.missouri-slave-data.org http://www.usgennet.org/usa/mo/topic/afro-amer/indexusg.html P.S. I believe there is a BEASLEY, TANDY and WALLER connection to these families above.
