Andrea, You'll never guess what I found. I have been working on the slave ledger of John R. White for sometime... now that I have been studying the families and getting tons of emails from other researchers.. it has helped me learn who the slaveowning players were. But check this out: John R. White was a big slave trader/dealer etc., in Central MO. In 1850 There was a transaction for Emily Keene and Child. Emily-- 17 years old was sold to Edward Pugh [assumption] cash $800 her child of no name was sold to Mr. Quisenberry of Boone County, MO for $75 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Andrea is looking for information related to the following family: My John Braxton Quisenberry was a son of Tandy & Margaret "Peggy" (Bush) Quisenberry. There were 19 children. Mills F, Inskip, Cuthbert, I know were in Missouri. They were in Boone, Pettis, Audrain, Randolph, and Monroe counties. John Braxton was married to Sarah Frances Burris, She was the daughter of Peter M & Elizabeth (Embree) Burris. John died about 1898 and probably in Randolph Co. But I have not located where yet. The 1860 Census has Mills & JB as neighbors in Renick PO, Prairie Twp, Mills had slaves too. His were female age 24, male 2yrs, male 4mos. Andrea would like to put a name to the woman.
