    3. I was reading about the covered bridges in Missouri, and it said that there were 5 left in Missouri in 1967 when the state took them over. Before they could get ownership of them the Mexico bridge was washed out by a flood. They then used parts of it to fix up the Union covered bridge at Paris. I don't know if it was anywhere close to Mexico, Missouri, but I assumed it was.
