Jeri: It appears that we are researching the same line. I had listed William with a middle initial 'L' in my post this morning. But there is no doubt that this is the same line. I probably misread the census. I have been working on the possibility that Joel may be the son of Henry Haynes and Tabitha Turner of Bedford Co., VA. Henry and Tabitha Turner Haynes did have a son Joel b. 1797-1800. Just haven't been able to prove they are one and the same. That Joel m. Patsy Greer 19 Nov 1817 in Breckingridge Co., KY. All the dates fit. Our Joel had his first child about 1819 b. KY. I just don't know if Patsy is a nickname for Martha or if these are two different wives or maybe these are two different Joels altogether. What do you think? Do you know Charlotte?
