    3. Hello, I am new to the Haynes family and the Breckinridge and Audrain Cos. lists. Looking for help with identifying the children of Joel HAYNES. Looking at census and birth places of his children over a period of years, it appears that Joel HAYNES arrived in Missouri from Kentucky about 1828-1829. I did not find him in Audrain Co., MO in 1830. 1840 Audrain Co., MO Federal Enumeration Census Salt River Township, page 10, line 26 Joel HAYNES 1 male - 5 and under 10 (probably Charles) 1 male - 10 and under 15 (probably John) 1 male - 16 and under 20 1 male - 20 and under 30 (Is this the Henry G. Haynes, age 31, found in 1850, pg. 167A) 1 male - 40 and under 50 (should be Joel Haynes) 1 female - 5 and under 10 (probably L. H.) 3 females - 10 and under 15 (probably Nancy D., A. T. and Julia) 1 female - 40 and under 50 (should be Martha) By 1850 the oldest 2 males are gone from the home. 1850 Audrain Co., MO Federal Enumeration Census Page 154, 4/4 HAYNES, Joel, 52, m, Farmer, b. VA . . . Martha, 54, f, b. VA (is this Patsy GREER m. 19 Nov 1817 in Breckinridge Co., KY?) . . . W. L., 26, m, b. KY . . . Nancy D., 22, f, b. KY . . . John, 21, m, b. MO . . . A. T., 20, f, b. MO (is this daughter Almarinda T.?) . . . L. H., 9, f, b. MO . . . Charles, 16, m, b. MO DAVIS, Madison, 26, m, b. KY . . . Julia, 22, f, b. KY . . . Joel, 1, m, b. MO . . . Martha, 2 mo., f, b. MO Is this Madison Davis the same person as M. A. Davis found on page 690, HH 566/564 in 1860? This HH is 2 houses away from Joel Haynes. If so, why are his children living with their grandfather Joel instead of with him? 1860 Audrain Co., MO Federal Enumeration Census Salt River Township, Page 690, 568/566 HAYNES, Joel, 63, m, Farmer/Widower, b. VA . . . A. T., 31, f, House Keeper, b. MO (is this daughter Almarinda T.?) . . . C. H., 27, m, Farm Hand, b. MO (probably Charles) DAVIS, Joel, 11, m., b. MO (s/o Madison and Julia) . . . M. E., 10, f, b. MO (this would be Martha, d/o Madison and Julia) I discovered a marriage record on the Sullivan Co., MOGenWeb site which states that William C. AYERS m. Rinda Haynes on 18 Sep 1864. William C. AYERS was b. 2 Dec 1813 in OH. This Rinda in definitely my hubby's line. A check of William C. AYERS's Civil War Pension Application Card shows his widow as Almarinda T. AYERS. The 1870 Sullivan Co., MO census shows Almarind T. AYERS b. abt. 1830 in MO. Both parents b. in VA. I am trying to find proof, one way or the other, if the A. T. HAYNES listed in the 1850 and 1860 Audrain Co., MO census in the home of Joel HAYNES is my Almarinda T. HAYNES AYERS. All of the data found thus far matches, but it is still not proof...yet. While I am on the subject, are the William HAYNES, age 75, and wife Mary, age 69, both b. VA on page 172B in the 1850 Audrain Co., MO census the parents of Joel HAYNES? The only Joel HAYNES which I can find prior to 1828 is in Breckingridge Co., KY. Marriage record states Joel HAYNES m. Patsy GREER on 19 Nov 1817. Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA, Corinne

    3. Corrine, I'm not a Haynes desc., but have a tidbit...maybe you know how it connects to you. I have a Elisha Damrell who m. Nancy J. Haynes 1858 Monroe Co, MO or Audrain Co, MO. He died in Audrain Co, MO. I have no dates on her nor do I know her parents. Do you know her? I also have a Martha Haynes, b. 1786 who m. Shadrack Woods in Warren Co, KY. She d. in Marion Co, MO in 1852. Know her? I've several lines in Audrain Co, including: Doolin, Canterbury, Talley....and many who relate to them as the families were large.
