George, it's a long shot, but could your Robert EBBENS be the same as my Robert EVANS, son of Wm B. and Martha Evans? Wm and Martha lived in Audrain County from 1835 to about 1856-60, then moved to Mercer County, MO. I have no other info on Robert, other than the location of his father's lands in Audrain County.
