Guthrie, MO was named after the Guthrie family of MO. Seems the father? sold land to the Railroad and in return the town that was built was named Guthrie. In the library in Mexico, MO. there are copies of letters between the Guthrie and Moore families. They weregiven by me as well as photos of the families.
