Jim, It's me again-Helen Thomas. I had ancestors from Virginia, who lived in Audrain and Monroe Counties. My 4th great grandmother Mary Elizabeth Moore was from Maryland, and married a William Hays, who was from Culpepper, VA. I believe they must have married in Virginia, at least, that is where their children were born. I know nothing else about Mary Elizabeth, but William, her husband was born About 1763, and died in Mercer Co., Ky, about 1845. Any connections? Hopefully if enough people are looking for Guthries any and all information will be found! LOL. Would you know if the Guthries in MO. is the same Guthrie family that married a Robert Moore in VA in 1756? The Guthries were well off? in MO.? I have a Bible that belonged to a Guthrie. It was given to him when he left home from MO, traveled down the Mississippi to New Orleans, then on to CA. > Jim > > > ==== MOAUDRAI Mailing List ==== > NOTICE: Posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political > announcements, current events, items for sale, personal messages, flames, > etc. (in other words - spam) is NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal. > Consideration for exceptions, contact Kathleen Burnett kathleenburnett@earthlink.net >
