Ky. About 1817 Samuel and Robert came to St. Charles Co. to help survey St. Charles Co. I'm pretty certain that Samuels coming to Callaway was due to a landgrant for helping survey. I believe Sam and Robert are in one of the St. Charles censuse and then show up in the 1830 Callaway census. I didn't mean that Daniel Boone was in Rocheport in 1830. I meant that Daniel and a brother or son settled in the Rocheport area and built a grand house in that area. There is an article about the house and his visits to it over the years. I think there is also speculation that Daniel died and was buried there for a while. If I can find the article, I will send it to you. Boonesboro and Booneville, Mo. are named for the Boone family and there is a Boones Lick State Hist. Site all within a 20 mile radius. In 1830 Samuel met Sarah Sally Taylor who was living with her brother at Rocheport in 1830 and was married in Boone Co.that year. Gary
