I saw the messages in regards to a Guthrie family in Mexico, Missouri. I wonder if any one has knowledge of a O.T.(or O.G.)Guthrie, from Monroe County. I have a document-an Administrator's Affidavit-concerning my ancestor William Atkinson, who died in July, 1900. Mr. Guthrie is named as an administrator for the will of William Atkinson. Just wondering if anyone has knowledge of this O. Guthrie. Please contact me if this is familiar. Guthrie, MO was named after the Guthrie family of MO. Seems the father? sold land to the Railroad and in return the town that was built was named Guthrie. In the library in Mexico, MO. there are copies of letters between the Guthrie and Moore families. They weregiven by me as well as photos of the families.
