Sam ,married a Sarah Phillips in Rocheport in 1830 " ============= Rocheport, Boone County was originally called Gray's Landing in 1821- at the mouth of the Moniteau Creek which borders Rocheport on the county line of Howard and Boone. anyone in that area could have lived in Howard county, as well. By 1830, Daniel Boone had been dead ten years, Daniel died at age 85 in 1820 in St. Charles County. Daniel and his family were well settled in what is present day St. Charles and Warren Counties before the LA Purchase. His oldest child was born 1757 - There is a Territorial "Census" for St. Charles County 1817 at http://www.rootsweb.com/~mocallaw/census.html Because St. County was divied before 1819, this census included all of what is present day Callaway and Montgomery counties. Femme Osage Township shows a Zachariah Moore there in 1817. Cote San Dessein Township has Phillips There is also a 1819 St Charles County census, ( not online ) but the residents of these two townships in 1817 are now in Montgomery County and later in Callaway.
