    1. [MOAUDRAI] Re: ROLL CALL: Green, 1860-Present
    2. Looking for descendants (and ancestors) of James Edward "Uncle Jimmie" Green, born in KY on Nov. 25, 1831. He was married to Sarah Frances Byrns (Byrnes) on Aug. 25, 1859 in Audrain Co., MO. James' father's name is unknown. Mother was Eliza or Elizabeth. Sarah Frances Byrns was born Feb. 25, 1840 in Audrain, a daughter of William Byrnes (Byrns) and Catherine H. Throckmorton. James and Sarah were living in Salt River Twp, during the 1860 Census with his widowed mother, Eliza, age 55. I know that James & Sarah were longtime members of the Union Chapel Church near their farm south of Mexico. An "Elizabeth Green" is recorded as a "charter member" of this same church when it was organized in 1862. Known children of James Green and Sarah Byrns are: 1) George W. Green (my great-grandpa), b. Jan. 1863 m. Alice W. Eller 2) Sallie C. Green, b. Dec. 22, 1864 m. John S. Atkins 3) Ida J. Green, b. 1868 m. W. E. Watts 4) James H. Green, b. 1871 5) Howard Frank Green, b. 1873 m. Grace __________ 6) Emma W. Green, b. July 12, 1874 m. Robert L. Brown 7) Richard or Wade Hampton Green, b. May 8, 1877 m. Bertha Nellie Ridgeway There may have also been an 8th child, a daughter possibly named Mary, who died as an infant. Sarah Byrns Green passed away on November 29-30, 1907 near Mexico, Audrain Co., MO. James E. Green died on Sept. 25, 1923 after breaking his hip following a fall from the porch of his daughter, Ida J. Watts, on North Clark Street. I'm desperate to locate any other living "cousins" descended from James & Sarah. Thanks for your help. Rod Green, Austin, TX.

    1. Re: [MOAUDRAI] Jacob COONS and Matilda Jane HOWE
    2. Your John Buchanan Coons married my 2nd greatgrand aunt, Elizabeth Jane Ridgway. Note: all family records that I've seen to date including tombstones spell the surname without an "e". I have all the same names for their children, but only have descendants for daughter, Emma Nettie Coons, who married Elias William Eller (her first cousin), son of my great-great grandparents, Warren Eller and Mary Ann Ridgway (Elizabeth's sister). Emma and Elias W. were married Oct. 8, 1896 in Missouri, probably in Callaway or Audrain County. He was born on March 7, 1873, near Auxvasse, Callaway Co., MO. Elias died between Jan. 9, 1950 and Feb. 1953 (probably on Jan. 9, 1951). Emma died on Feb. 4, 1953, both in Sedro-Woolley, WA. Emma and Elias had two daughters: Zelma, born July 15, 1898, in Auxvasse; she died on Oct. 4, 1969 in Sedro-Woolley, WA. Zelma was married twice; Elmer Lloyd Harmon and Louis Oscar Jones (not certain in which order). Leona, born Dec. 5, 1905 in Missouri (perhaps in Monroe County, MO. where the family was living during the 1900 Census), she died on Oct. 13, 1926 from tuberculosis in Sedro-Woolley, WA. Leona was married to Steven H. Grundy on Feb. 19, 1924 in Sedro-Woolley. Please, contact if you have any more information about the descendants of John B. Coons and Elizabeth J. Ridgway. Thanks, Rod Green, Austin, TX.

    1. [MOAUDRAI] Roll Call, Beshears, Roberts
    2. Linda Seevers
    3. I have two areas of Audrain County that I am looking at. One is close to Randolph/Boone county. John C ROBERTS lived there. He had at least one son Andrew J ROBERTS who married Georgean SLAUGHTER from Boone County. John moved to Boone/Howard County and bought property in July 1857. The land patent reads "John C Roberts of Audrain Missouri" According to one of the Census his parents were born in VA. He was born in MO about 1822. The other area is VANDALIA, MO. This is close to Pike County and Ralls County where the BESHEARS/BRASHEARS migrated from. Some of children of Robert and Elizabeth BEHSEARS moved to this town -- unclear exactly when BESHEARS/BRASHEARS, William B. BESHEARS/BRASHEARS. Some of the other names associated with the BESHEARS/BRASHEARS names are MAYHALL, ALLISON, EPPERSON, EVANS, and FORD.
