Deed information from the Andrew Co. records show that my gr-gr grandparents Elias Pittman and wife Catherine deeded 13-59-36 SWSE to Andrew Pittman Aug 5, 1847 (recorded 29 Dec 1848); and 13-59-36 NWSE to Richard Pittman 6 Apr 1853 (recorded 21 May 1853). I believe Andrew and Richard are sons of Elias and Catherine, as is my great grandmother Anna Pittman Frazee. Does anyone have proof of these relationships? Also, the Gleanings book, p. 390, states that Richard Pittman married Elizabeth Ann SILENCE in 1843. The Andrew County records Book A, p. 14, states Richard Pittman m. Elizabeth Silman 24 Mar 1842, and the electronic marriage records which were just put on the mailing list state that Richard married an Elizabeth GILMAN 24 Mar 1842. The Silences lived near the Pittmans, according to census records, so I have always assumed the Silence name to be correct. Can anyone enlighten me? Also, William Pittman (who I believe to be my Elias Pittman's brother) and his wife Mary deeded two acres in the SE 12-59-36 to the Regular Baptist Church of Jesus Christ "for a meeting house and burial ground and no other purpose." Maybe this is where my Elias and Catherine are buried. Does anyone know anything about this burial ground? Jeannine Long
