    3. Please check out the following outline and let me know if I have my Thomas' mixed up? The Thomas Sees I am researching (yes it is Sees not See) married a Margaret (Dempsey). 1860 Thomas and Margaret are in Jackson County OH two children. 1870 census of Adair County MO, in the town of Paulville, Thomas age 33 and Margaret age 32. They have 6 children. 1880 Adair County MO, Thomas, Margaret and 7 children. 1900 Adair County MO, Thomas and Sarah (Reesman), his second wife and a daughter, Retta. 1910 Adair County MO, Sarah now a widow and her daughter Retta. I believe Thomas died in 1907 and is buried in the Paultown Cemetery. My connection to Thomas Sees started with a trim board we removed from our old house in Carthage MO. On the back was written "Thomas Sees". I knew there was a Thomas Sees in Kirksville but it wasn't until I realized that the family who had this house built had lived in Kirksville previously. That's when I began to suspect that Thomas had been there contractor even this far away. The history of Adair County MO writes of David Sees, son of Thomas and Margaret Sees, "He has built the greater part of the best buildings at Brashear. He also takes large contracts in other towns, being considered an expert in his line." This also suggested that the Sees men traveled in the line of their work. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of bruce stevens Sent: Monday, March 30, 2009 11:06 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [MOADAIR] Sees in Kirksville MO Dear List. Don't want to confuse anybody researching Thomas Sees, But I decend form the See's in Kirksville and we also have a Thomas See, who was a contractor and furniture maker during that same time period. 2. I believe that the two Thomas Sees are father and son, born 1837 and 1874, respectively. The 1880 census, Salt River, Twp, Adair Co, MO, tells it all. The 1910 census enumerates Thomas, Jr. as I see it.
