This is what I have on the Thomas Sees Family Thomas Sees 1 Dec 1836 was born in Fayette County, Pennsylvania He died on the 29th of Aug 1907 He Married Margaret Mariah Dempsey on the 27th of January 1856 in Jackson County, Ohio Margaret Mariah Dempsey was born on the 22 of May 1836 in Leo, Jackson, Ohio And died 3 Aug 1881 in Adair County, Missouri She was the daughter of James Dempsey and Sarah Elerton Their children were: 1. Hamilton Sees Oct 1858 Jackson, Ohio He died on the 16th of May 1927 He married Lillie Cordelia Lee 2. Mary Ellen Sees abt 1859 Jackson, Ohio She married David Kaser 3. James Sees 4 Feb 1861 Jackson, Ohio He Married Emma J. Strock 4. David Sees 18 May 1865 Jackson, Ohio He died on the 19th of June 1932 in Salt River, Adair Missouri He married Estella Ann Parsons on the 17th of Dec 1885 5. Margaret Sees 1864 in Jackson, Ohio 6. Sarah Sees 1867 in Jackson, Ohio 7. Anne B. Sees 1871 in Adair County, Ohio 8. Thomas Sees 5 Oct 1872 in Adair County, Ohio He died on the 6th of Oct 1888 Thomas Sees was the son of John Sees and Mary L. I believe Thomas died in 1907 and is buried in the Paultown Cemetery. My connection to Thomas Sees started with a trim board we removed from our old house in Carthage MO. On the back was written "Thomas Sees". I knew there was a Thomas Sees in Kirksville but it wasn't until I realized that the family who had this house built had lived in Kirksville previously. That's when I began to suspect that Thomas had been there contractor even this far away. The history of Adair County MO writes of David Sees, son of Thomas and Margaret Sees, "He has built the greater part of the best buildings at Brashear. He also takes large contracts in other towns, being considered an expert in his line."
