There were other Thompson families in Sullivan County - a thorough look at census records will help to sort them out. I see that there is a Nancy, daughter of Simeon and Mary, who was born in Missouri in 1863, living in Buchanan Twp in 1870. She may be a likely candidate for the marriage to William Oscar Patterson.     3. Ok. In that case, I think your Nancy is the daughter of Moses L.Thompson. See the 1860 census in Dade County, Missouri. Moses Thompson, born in Tennessee, wife Susan, born Missouri, are the parents of Maryann L., age 3, and Nancy C. age 3/12, which would make her born in March of 1860 as your Pueblo, Colorado census indicates.     3. As a follow-up, this family is found in Kirksville on the 1880 census. Nannie, as she is called, is the only child still in the household.
