Thanks for the information on the Sees family. I live in Carthage MO and while remodeling our old house found "Thomas Sees" written in an older looking script on the back of a trim board. Recently I found out that the person who probably lived in our house first was Andrew Biffer, who had lived in Kirksville before he moved here. I suspect that Thomas Sees of Adair County was the builder but would like to prove it, or at least find out if he had built other houses. The two census records I find him in say he was a carpenter, and a contractor so it seems likely. Thanks for more clues.
