Hi Margaret, The Adair County Historical Society (ACHS) will look up unindexed obits on microfilm and provide a copy for $10 plus a SASE. However, since you don't have the exact date, they may need more than $10 for that. Also, as you may know, obituaries were usually pretty brief in the 19th century.
